Ok #Roomies, imagine: you wake up to work and continue your normal morning routine. You shower, brush your teeth, get dressed, and leave with your breakfast sandwich and orange juice. You take a sip of the delicious ol’ Tropicana, it tastes… normal. Well, the popular orange juice brand says its new toothpaste line will make all of you a reality.
Tropicana experts recently announced that they have come up with a way for OJ lovers to enjoy after brushing their teeth without any bitter aftertaste. Experts said that Tropicana’s new toothpaste to be released on November 1 does not contain an ingredient called sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which can cause a bad taste.
“We worked closely with our research and development partner, Dynamic Blending Specialists, to take this toothpaste from the initial concept to product development, production, and finally to reality,” said a Tropicana spokesperson.
SLS is the cleaner in most brands of toothpaste. The active ingredients in SLS and OJ are not mixed, which is exactly the problem Tropicana has been working hard to solve.
“Tropicana toothpaste is different from other toothpastes because it is specifically designed to protect the taste of orange juice. It does not include sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) as an ingredient, which is a cleaning agent that is ubiquitous in toothpaste and can lead to the use of toothpaste. Brushing your teeth and then drinking OJ produces a bitter aftertaste.”
It is not clear where Tropicana will buy toothpaste, and wrote that “consumers are encouraged to comment on Tropicana’s Instagram page, and they may receive new surprises.”
