A decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Commission, announced that Abu Dhabi intends to create six “Olympic Sports Clubs”
These sports are especially-fencing, track and field, weightlifting, archery, water sports and tennis.
The decree was formulated with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The newly established sports club will focus on providing the most modern facilities to help select future local sports superstars from “all social strata” to help them identify, develop, encourage and promote.
These clubs will join Abu Dhabi’s already impressive new stadiums. This is a collection that has seen some really huge increases in the past year or so.Including the recently built giant Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness Center; Also new is large-scale Etizan of Erth; And 20,000 square meters of FIFA standard professional football field, located in The Ritz-Carlton, Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal; You will find another new large-scale Multi-purpose sports field On the island of Al Maryah; here are all the sports fun of the vast adventure sports center Hudariyat Island; And there are many new sports grounds that are exciting Parks all over the capital (Including Reem Central Park, Al Fay Park and Sheha Fatima Park)
