After the two made controversial comments on the LGBTQ community, DaBaby and Dave Chappelle have shared the popularity of the LGBTQ community in the past few months. Although both of them have faced strong opposition, there seems to be an organization willing to forgive DaBaby while still seeking Dave’s apology.

If you remember, the LGBTQ organization offered to meet with DaBaby, and Dave Chappelle agreed to meet with Netflix employees after Dave joked that DaBaby’s involvement in the murder was compared to the sensitivity of the LGBTQ community. Since then, DaBaby publicly apologized and met with 9 AIDS advocacy organizations to apologize. On the other hand, Dave said that he is willing to meet with community members, but will proceed on his own terms.

Gwendolyn D. Clemons, CEO of LQBT Organization “Relationship Release”, told TMZ Members of her non-profit organization support DaBaby’s business to continue to flourish because he takes the time to let himself understand how his comments are hurtful and harmful. Clemons said her organization told DaBaby the history behind the impact of HIV/AIDS on the people in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

As for Dave Chapel, Clemons told TMZ that the comedian showed no “sympathy or remorse” for his comments and “fully knew what he was doing.” She also labeled Dave’s comments about the LGBTQ community as “hate speech disguised as a comedy.”

As we reported earlier, after the media tried to cancel DaBaby’s comment on HIV, Dave Chappelle joked that the LGBTQ community is sensitive. In his comedy special “The Closer”, Dave said that killing people in the United States is easier to accept than “harming the feelings of homosexuals.”

Dave later publicly condemned the rumors about his refusal to meet with members of the LGBTQ community. He said: “For the transgender community, I am very willing to give you a listener, but you will call me. I will not succumb to anyone’s demands.”
