The next spotlight performance by regional artists is: Anees-What’s On

[ad_1]

Flash Entertainment continues its regional artist spotlight program to support regional music talent…

Lebanese-Palestinian independent singer and rapper Anees firmly believes that music is used for healing. It is precisely this motto that he keeps in mind that allows him to focus on creating what he says is “good for the soul…”.

Latest news: How did you get in touch with music in the first place?

Annie: I grew up in the head of music. When we grow up, we have a small house, but one third of it is a space we call “music room”. I think I have no choice but to enter the field of music. From the first day, I was immersed in rhythm and melody. But I started my art creation when I was 15 years old, and I tried free styling for the first time. The pleasure of connecting rhythm and melody quickly is a life-changing feeling. There is no turning back. Since then, music has been my therapy.

WO: How would you describe the music you make?

A: My music has no genre. I don’t fit any box. I combine pop, hip-hop, R&B, soul music and many other genres. But apart from the “sound” of my music, I think it’s best to describe this tone as “healing music”. I use my soul to make music to connect with your soul. That is my favorite kind of music, so I think this is the music I want to create.

WO: Which artists or characters inspired you?

A: There are too many artists to name, but let’s choose five: Lauryn Hill, India Arie, John Mayer, Jim Croce and Immortal Technique. Outside of music, my inspiration comes from the people I love, my family and my closest friends. But in fact, anyone who has the courage to choose to follow their heart will inspire me. The dreamer inspires me. People who resist fear inspire me.

WO: What are your recent musical achievements?

A: This month, our total traffic on Spotify reached 5 million-this is crazy. I only started releasing music last year. Therefore, we have made considerable progress in a relatively short period of time.I also just released an R&B song What do lovers do, This is one of my main goals. Going further out of the “box” and creating a whole new sound is a huge victory.

WO: What was your creative process like?

A: My creative process almost always starts with free modeling. I like to let my creative impulse lead the trend. I will sit down, maybe with a beat, maybe with silence, and record myself as I spit out melody, hooks and verses. After finishing, I will listen to the recording and choose my favorite gold nugget. From then on, I would sit there and listen to my lyrics, sometimes for months. I will massage them until they tell a story that feels right. It feels like writing a novel. I hope the narrative is served.

WO: What is the biggest obstacle in your career?

A: Fear. Fear of time, judgment, and success. Whenever fear spreads into the picture, only bad things will follow. In my more anxious moments, I tend to let my fears dominate. Finding a way to eliminate the fear in the creative process, or at least ignore the fear, is a constant challenge for me. Once I overcome that obstacle, I think my greatest and most beautiful work will come out.

WO: What has been the highlight of your career so far?

A: Have the power to listen to my heart and ignore my fears. That was the greatest decision I ever made, second only to marrying my wife. Any number, award or recognition depends on God, but the fact that I am a full-time artist makes me extremely proud. I like what I do every day. For this reason alone, I succeeded.

WO: Where have you performed?

A: I just performed at MusikFest with my brother Zach Matari. It feels great to share the stage with people I really care about as an artist and friends. This is the most important thing for me. But to be honest, this is my first live performance, so it won by default. But in 2022, we will participate in festivals and uninterrupted tours. It’s time to meet my fans in person.

WO: What have you released recently? What is the story behind them?

A: April, I gave up slip, A love song about my wife. It is fun and full of passion. This is the story of our love.July, I gave up Indulge in yourself, A narcissistic song. This song tells the importance of loving yourself first. I wrote it to remind my audience that love must come from the heart before it can be shared. My latest version What do lovers do Decline in October. This is a song about burning romance. I know what it is like to love someone deeply and pray that this feeling is mutual, so I made an R&B song about this emotion.

WO: Which of these editions do you like best and why?

A: What i want to say is What do lovers do It is my favorite for two reasons. One, because it is the latest version. I try to keep my current mind. No matter what song I am currently focusing on, it will get my favor. But this is also my best work. It is more dynamic than my previous songs. It has grooves, texture, passion, melody and impact.I think I become an artist with the development of each song, and What do lovers do It is proof of this evolution.

WO: Are you currently collaborating with other artists?

A: Yes. But I must keep the information DL now. Once we are ready to announce these collaborations, I know my fans will be very excited. I am very fortunate to be able to establish contact with the incredible artists I admire. Social media really opened these doors for me, so yell at followers who keep tagging artists in my posts. I can guarantee: 2022 will be a year of cooperation for me.

WO: What are your hobbies outside of music?

A: nature. I like trees, birds, bees, clouds, water, blue sky and sounds. I think our planet is our greatest blessing, and I will always be in awe of its splendor. Once I become a truly global artist, I will buy a farm and spend my days in the colors, sounds, sights and smells of the earth.

WO: What does your participation in the regional artist spotlight mean to you?

A: I am very honored to be a feature of the spotlight of regional artists. I am honored to be able to show my work, and I hope I can bring peace, happiness and love to everyone who finds my art through this spotlight. As an independent artist, being able to reach a global audience is a dream come true. I will not take the opportunity lightly. This is a blessing. I always thank you for thinking that I am worthy of your time, attention and attention.
