Work in the UAE during Covid: Which industries are hiring-News

[ad_1]

The company is seeking to recruit temporary employees to flexibly adjust the number of employees based on business needs.

Industries such as e-commerce, IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, customer service and financial technology will recruit highly skilled labor in the UAE in 2021. This is because the company recruits temporary labor to flexibly adjust the number of employees according to the business needs, said the human resources director.

Although hiring is expected to pick up in the second half of this year, they believe that local hiring is unlikely to reach the level of 2019 anytime soon.

Industries to be recruited during Expo 2020:

>> Hospitality

>> Retail

>> Technology

>> Tourism

>> Catering

>> Leisure

“As companies adapt to virtual recruitment and onboarding, they have shifted from static work to project-based or cross-functional work. Some organizations have begun to recruit temporary employees to flexibly adjust the number of employees according to business needs. Temporary or project-based work hopes to rejoin the workforce Employees who are in the market or venturing into different industries may also accept jobs more widely,” said Mayank Patel, head of Deco Middle East.

Recruitment industry:

>> Information Technology

>> Healthcare

>> Fintech

>> E-commerce

>> Customer Service

>> Logistics

>> Telecommunications

>> Medical equipment

>> Finance

Employment is increasing in the first half of 2021. Patel expects that this trend will continue to move forward. Some countries are now lifting restrictions and the economy is back to normal. In addition, Expo 2020 Dubai will also bring a large number of jobs in the UAE’s catering, technology, software, tourism and hotel industries.

“Construction, delivery, logistics and warehousing, as well as vaccine management, and other jobs still have a demand for workers. Retail, e-commerce, transportation and delivery, logistics, information technology, software consulting, finance, financial technology, telecommunications, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, etc. The industry and medical devices have been actively recruiting to meet market demand and play an important role during this period,” he added.

The pandemic has forced many organizations to fast track the adoption and deployment of new technologies to reduce costs, increase productivity, and stay in the game. As e-commerce flourishes and replaces physical experiences, technology-based roles continue to be in high demand. As many people choose to dine, restaurants and food delivery platforms have emerged and been strengthened.

Deepa Sud, chief executive officer of Plum Jobs, said the hiring of experienced senior personnel with professional and technical capabilities has changed even more.

“Many lower-level roles have been removed from the enterprise due to two main reasons-first, companies have realized that they don’t need these roles, especially because many companies have scaled down and/or reorganized, and secondly, cloud systems and automation Has become redundant for the role,” she said.

The demand for technical experts is also greater, although this is not necessarily related to the pandemic, but is due to a significant increase in technology-based solutions.

She pointed out that the job market will improve, but it will take some time.

“The world has changed tremendously and every aspect of our lives has changed, so it’s no surprise that we won’t see local recruitment reach the level of 2019 again in the near future…Business leaders and investors will have to Manage their costs more conservatively, resulting in many roles being redefined or cancelled due to reduced technology or face-to-face interactions with customers and suppliers,” added the CEO of Plum Jobs.

As more and more people get vaccinated, Sud sees that people become more optimistic and confident about going out again. This bodes well for the economy and the job market.

Mayank Patel plans to reopen these countries and the UAE’s response strategy after the pandemic, resulting in new job lists in areas such as tourism, leisure and hotels, as well as remote work and technology.
