Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world’s largest IT infrastructure service provider, today announced a multi-year agreement to help accelerate its digitalization The next stage of the transformation journey. Kyndryl will help Etihad modernize its IT infrastructure by promoting the use of best-in-class cloud platforms.
Innovation and technology help Etihad Airways adapt flexibly to the aviation industry and enhance its world-renowned guest experience. Previously, the airline relied on private cloud infrastructure-but in order to achieve greater flexibility, it needed to adopt a cloud strategy and integrate various public cloud environments to support its workloads.
Therefore, Etihad Airways will use Kyndryl to work closely with leading cloud providers to select a cloud platform suitable for use according to the specific requirements of Etihad’s mission-critical workloads. Over the next three years, Kyndryl will also help Etihad migrate and manage workloads in the new multi-cloud environment.
Through the multi-cloud model, Etihad will have seamless access to advanced cloud services and be able to integrate the functions provided by each cloud platform. This will enable more efficient operations and bring innovation to the market at a faster rate.
