In line with its ongoing mission to digitally transform trade and logistics in Abu Dhabi, Maqta Gateway, the digital arm of AD Ports Group, has launched a new inspection and customs clearance module as part of its Advanced Trade and Logistics Platform (ATLP).

The new module of ATLP will significantly improve information sharing by implementing a centralized registration process. It also helps to simplify customs procedures by adopting advanced electronic customs declaration mechanisms that allow advance notification of shipments through the submission of electronic customs documents. In addition to simplifying administrative processes through a single optimized interface that allows all parties involved to share, review and process trade data.
The integration of the platform with other regulators such as border control agencies will ensure smoother cross-border operations. Streamlining and enhancing the process of information exchange will significantly shorten the import, transit and export lead times of goods, reduce overlapping controls and duplication of work, and significantly reduce operational and administrative costs.
