India: Congress leader says it proposes to increase the number of people in the House of People to 1,000-News

Congress leader Manish Tewari claimed on Sunday that there was a proposal to increase the number of people in the People’s Chamber to 1,000 or more, and to solicit public opinion before implementation.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party’s parliamentary colleagues reliably told me that someone proposed to increase the number of Lok Sabha to 1,000 or more by 2024. “The job of members of parliament is to make laws for the country. The 10th timetable of the Indian Constitution weakens this role. If the proposal to increase LS to 1,000 is true, it will have an impact,” Tewari further wrote.

Up to now, the number of people approved by the Indian Parliament is 543, plus two members from the Anglo-Indian community.
