False job alert: UAE healthcare group warns of recruitment scam-News

VPS Healthcare stated that it has noticed that someone has sent false employment contracts to job seekers in the name of its unit Response Plus Medical Services (RPM).

Located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Northern Emirates, RPM provides medical support for the oil and gas sector, chemical industry and major construction sites, as well as ambulance services for educational institutions, labor accommodations and shopping malls.

Officials from VPS Healthcare stated that the employment contract indicates that the scam of false recruitment agencies offering non-existent jobs has entered an advanced stage.

One of the job applicants who received the fake job contract was MC, the head nurse of a private hospital in southern India. In order to find better opportunities abroad, he found a local “agent”, who promised to give him a job in the UAE. A virtual interview was conducted and an employment contract was provided via WhatsApp.

“During the pandemic, there were several vacancies in the healthcare field abroad. I tried to find a good job in the Gulf Cooperation Council. I have three years of experience as a head nurse in India.”

The person who promised MC to work in the UAE conducted an online interview and then sent an employment contract on WhatsApp.

“According to the contract, I got a salary of Dh5,000 plus accommodation. I was not deceived because I tried to verify the offer. But there may be many medical staff who fall into the trap without checking the authenticity of the contract and the agent Made a claim,” he said.

The organization warns people interested in nursing and community members to be vigilant against false advertisements spread by individuals or organizations claiming to be representatives or affiliates of VPS Healthcare or its subsidiaries.

Major Tom Louis, CEO of RPM, said: “A large-scale nurse recruitment scam occurred recently. Taking advantage of the pandemic, these agents are approaching candidates who have promised to work abroad. Candidates must go through legitimate channels and beware of failure. Into this kind of trap.”

Aspiring people have been urged not to fall prey to email communications from fraudsters using free email services such as Gmail, Rediff Mail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc., and clarified that it is only through official email addresses registered on their domains with applications People communication.

Sanjai Kumar, chief human resources officer of VPS Healthcare, stated that the group has not authorized any third party to post job opportunities on its behalf. It also does not charge applicants any payments or fees of any nature.

“Please note that we do not take any responsibility for job seekers who are not directly provided by VPS Healthcare. We follow the formal recruitment process through our human resources department and will not ask job seekers for any remuneration as a pre-employment requirement VPS Healthcare reserves the right to take legal actions against such fraudulent individuals or entities, including criminal proceedings.”

In the past, the health care group has faced the problem of fraudsters offering non-existent jobs in the name of LLH, Medeor and Burjeel Hospital (including Burjeel Medical City).
