According to the “Dawn” report, the defendant confessed to the crime during the interrogation. According to reports, police sources told the Dawn newspaper that they also obtained CCTV camera footage from nearby, showing that Noor tried to jump from the first floor and rush to the main entrance, trying to escape the house.
After finding that the door was locked, she hid in the guard room. Later, someone saw the defendant break into the room and dragged her into the house.
Jaffer also met with U.S. Embassy staff on Monday because he also has U.S. citizenship. He told the court earlier that his life was threatened.
Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid announced that Jaffer, his father and servants have been blacklisted to prevent them from escaping.
