ADIB witnesses a significant increase in the use of its digital banking channels

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, announced today that the use of its digital banking channel has increased significantly in the first quarter of 2022. According to ADIB, 40% of customers’ personal finance applications are now conducted digitally on its mobile app, up from 30% in the first quarter of last year.

The bank now has over 700,000 active digital customers, a testament to the growing demand for digital services including personal finance. In response to the growing demand for services and products offered through its digital channels, ADIB announced the launch of the “Express Finance Cashback Campaign”, which provides customers with the ability to withdraw up to 1000 AED when applying for their personal finance mobile application. The campaign, which runs until July 5, 2022, includes up to two instalment extensions per year, with a grace period for the first instalment of up to 120 days.

ADIB Express Finance was launched to provide customers with more convenient personal finance services through the ADIB mobile application. Developed by ADIB’s Digital Lab, the service is designed to provide eligible clients with immediate access to financing. Pre-approved ADIB clients seeking personal finance can now complete all application steps on their smartphone via ADIB’s state-of-the-art mobile app and receive their funds the same day without having to visit any of our branches or manually sign any document. While the process for customers is fast, simple and secure, the risk approach adopted by the bank remains rigorous to ensure that customers have access to financing facilities within their means.
