Etihad launches five summer services, expands network to more than 70 destinations

Emirates national carrier Etihad Airways will launch five seasonal routes this week, connecting Abu Dhabi with popular summer hotspots in Europe and the Indian Ocean.

Three seasonal services took off this morning, connecting Abu Dhabi with Nice on France’s famous Cote d’Azur, the historic city of Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete and Malaga in Spain. All three services will run twice a week.

Etihad’s summer itinerary will be further boosted over the next two days with the launch of routes to Santorini in Greece and Zanzibar in Tanzania, which operate three times a week.

Martin Drew, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, said: “Adventurers have a lot to explore at Etihad Airways this summer. “From the stunning beaches of the Costa del Sol to the picturesque French Riviera, Etihad’s Summer itineraries offer even more opportunities to experience the wonders of travel in 2022. “

To celebrate the launch of these routes, guests on the inaugural flights will receive an exclusive Etihad Benefit Package to kick off their summer break.

Designed with sustainability and health and wellness in mind, the kits include a mini tote bag upgraded from a flying carpet, a limited-edition reusable soaking water bottle and naturally carbonated FRÍO® sparkling water from the UAE.
