Malappuram woman dies in Abu Dhabi with bruises after sharing distress voice message

[ad_1]

Malappuram: Relatives of Malappuram indigenous woman who died in Abu Dhabi claim her death was mysterious. Afeeliya’s parents blamed her husband and in-laws for her death.

Just before she died, Afeeliya sent photos and audio messages of her bruised face to her sister, in which she was found crying. The parents have lodged a complaint with the Kuttippuram police and district police chief for an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the remains were sent to the Manjeri Medical College for an autopsy.

Afeeliya’s parents told police that her husband used to hit her when he was angry. He also sometimes took her cell phone. In a voice message to her sister, Afeeliya said that if she died in Abu Dhabi, her husband would try to treat it as suicide.

Afeeliya’s husband told relatives that when he returned from his office on June 11, he found Afeeliya lying unconscious in her room, and she died only after arriving at the hospital. Afeeliya went to Abu Dhabi with her husband in March. The couple married eight years ago. Relatives say they have had problems before. Afeeliya left behind a four-year-old child.
