Abu Dhabi International Airport is expected to be busy in the next few months as passenger numbers increase during Eid al-Adha and the upcoming summer holiday season.
Some 2.8 million passengers are expected to pass through Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) between July and August this year, 414,000 of which are specific to the Eid al-Adha travel season from July 7 to 15, 2022.
“As the industry continues to recover and consumer confidence returns, we are delighted to maintain this momentum,” said Francois Bourienne, Chief Commercial Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports.
“Traffic during the upcoming peak season will ultimately have a positive impact on our traffic volumes in 2022, with more than 13 million passengers expected to pass through Abu Dhabi International Airport by the end of the year.”
Passengers departing from AUH are encouraged to benefit from online/remote check-in, bag drop points and other services offered by the airline to ensure a smooth airport experience and avoid potential delays.
The PCR testing facility at the airport is still available as an optional service for AED 40 for passengers who wish to activate their Green Pass on the Al Hosn app, which is an entry point to public spaces, tourist attractions, business centres and Mandatory for other facilities Zabi.
