UAE’s Institut Français – French Embassy Culture Department, JCDecaux, Abu Dhabi Airports and Print Works will once again join forces for the second edition of ArtportChallenge!

Like previous challenges, the campaign calls on talented photographers to submit their best photos and gives winners the opportunity to present them to the public.

“Music Around the World” is the theme of this year’s challenge. It pays tribute to Abu Dhabi, which was nominated by UNESCO as the “City of Creative Music” in November 2021.

Abu Dhabi is a musically vibrant city that often hosts major events. It is home to prestigious institutions such as the Cultural Foundation, Berkeley Abu Dhabi and Bait Al Oud.

Participants are encouraged to use their imaginations and take pictures, such as stages, instruments, singers or objects that embody the music, to capture the intensity of the musical moments and commemorate the cultural vitality of Abu Dhabi.

This event is open to anyone over the age of 6 living in the UAE. The solicitation will close on August 21st. The six winners will be divided into two categories: over 15 and under 15.

Winners will be announced on September 15. They will have the opportunity to display their images on 64 outdoor billboards around Abu Dhabi International Airport and on two giant LED screens on the Saadiyat-Yas Highway and Al Khalidiyah.

They will also receive numerous awards related to Emirati and French culture and music.
