Michelin, official Tire Suppliers and Technology Partners Gran Turismo is running a special online tournament for players in Southeast Asia and Oceania, where the winner will enjoy a fully paid experience at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.
Dubbed the Michelin Cup Asia, it is the successor to the 2021 Michelin virtual racing series, which will only be held in Malaysia. This year’s competition is also open to runners from Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, as long as they hold a valid driver’s license.

Drivers will then compete in two semi-final online races – 12 drivers each – in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 on an unknown circuit, with six drivers each in the 12-person final in the Porsche 911 RSR. These final rounds are all scheduled for August 4th.
The overall winner will win the 2022 Michelin Passion Experience at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, all expenses including travel, accommodation and meals. There, they will take part in a variety of activities including off-road, WTCR passenger rides, BMW X3 tire tests and Formula 4 hotlaps on the FIA Class 1 circuit.
Second place will receive a set of four Michelin tires with a maximum inner diameter of 17 inches, and the third place driver will receive a cash prize of approximately $430.
