Abu Dhabi, UAE to host 2022 Youth Mixed Martial Arts World Championships; registration open – Daily Conan

This International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (International Monetary Fund) 2022 Youth Mixed Martial Arts World Championships For 12-17 year olds, it will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 17-20 August 2022.Organised by Emirates Jiu-Jitsu and IMMAF, the event will be held at IMMAF.TV

Athlete registration for the 2022 Youth Mixed Martial Arts World Championship opens on July 1, 2022, and the registration deadline is July 25, 2022.Interested participants please contact their National Mixed Martial Arts Federation affiliated with IMMAF information.

Three categories of youth championships will be held IMMAF Youth Mixed Martial Arts Rules For ages 12 to 13 (Teen C), 14 to 15 (Teen B) and 16 to 17 (Teen A). Based on the recommendations of the IMMAF’s Medical, Coaching and Regulatory Affairs Committee, the rule set has been modified from the Uniform Rules based on the developmental stage and safety of each age group.

For entrants under the age of 18, IMMAF does not allow head strikes. The minimum skill level to participate is Orange for 14-17 year olds and Yellow for 12-13 year olds.

Bulgaria hosted the 2021 World Youth Championships. It attracted 331 athletes from 23 countries amid ongoing lockdowns and travel restrictions in many countries due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The top three teams are Ukraine, Russia and the United States. With the lockdown now lifted, more countries are expected to participate following a series of national youth championships and trials held by IMMAF member countries.
