Tunisian businessman Hicham Bouajila contacts Marseille over potential UAE-backed takeover

[ad_1]

according to team Earlier this spring, Tunisian businessman Hicham Bouajila contacted lawyers at Olympique de Marseille to discuss a project with partner Dr. Abdulla Alraisi from the United Arab Emirates. However, those attempts were quickly swept away by current owner Frank McCourt – the Tunisian businessman who is working to make a swap for ownership of the US Marseille team.

Bouajila is well known in the Val-de-Marne region as he accompanied Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the current Qatari PSG president, on his first arrival in France. His partner Alraisi will be the main gateway for UAE investors, with an Al-Khelaïfi-esque image, combining top sports such as track and field and handball with national diplomacy. Rumor has it that he has an extensive network that could open up potential investments for OM.

However, Marsielle’s attorneys have advised Bouajila and approached two “backbone” members of the McCourt family business: Barry Cohen and Jeff Ingram.

However, despite these attempts to communicate with OM owners, McCourt’s entourage has dismissed any desire to sell, one member told him team That”Frank has been here for a long time. “ Talk to an OM executive “Those who spread these rumours are just trying to destabilise the club.”
