Tony Siricoin his spot-stealing role as Paul ‘Paulie Walnuts’ Gualtieri on The Sopranos, already dead. He is 79 years old.
No cause of death was released.
Sirico’s brother, Pastor Robert Siricoannounce the news on Facebook Friday. “Very sad, but with incredible pride, love and many fond memories, the family of Gennaro Anthony ‘Tony’ Sirico wishes to inform you of his death on the morning of July 8, 2022,” Robert wrote.
“The family is deeply grateful for the many expressions of love, prayers and condolences, and asks the public to respect their privacy at this time of bereavement,” the post continued. “In his memory, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s Hospital and the Acton Institute.”
According to the post, Sirico left behind his two children Joanne Sirico Bello and Richard Siricoas well as grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Sirico soprano supporting role Michael Imperioli shared a tribute post Instagram On Friday, the section wrote, “Tony is not like everyone else: he’s as strong, loyal and magnanimous as anyone I know. I’ve been around him so much: good times and bad. But mostly good times. … we had a lot of laughter.”
