Leni von Doren has died at the age of 63.
The actor, best known for playing Harold Smith on the hit suspense series “Twin Peaks,” died Thursday (07/07/22), but the cause of death has not been announced.
Lenny’s sister Catherine van Dohlen wrote on Facebook: “The world lost a great man on the 5th of July. Brother Len was passionate about everything and everyone. He was always on top; Creation is still a trip to new places. He loves to laugh. He continues his spiritual journey. Lives a full life in his memory.”
During his appearance in Twin Peaks and its spinoff film prequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walks With Me, Laney played the agoraphobic Harold who refused to leave his home.
In the four episodes in which he appears, Harold is commissioned to write Laura Palmer’s secret diary — she is played by Shirley Lee — but after her murder, he ends up getting involved in the case, which ends own life,
In addition to his sister, Lenny is also known for playing Miles Harding in the movie Electric Dream, his ex-wife and model Marina Drujko (38) and His 21-year-old daughter Hazel survived. Von Dohlen, his previous relationship.
