Important Dubai summit to discuss climate risks

The Arab Green Summit will bring together key government officials, key decision makers and policy makers from all key sectors in the MENA region to discuss, innovate, collaborate and chart the way for climate action.

Climate risk is arguably the greatest risk facing humanity, and climate change goes against the timeless principles of nature and increases the temperature of our planet. Countries are racing against time to meet the goals of the Paris climate agreement and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

The summit was hosted by Market Solutions Events Management under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) at the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan in Dubai, UAE from June 21 to 22. It is powered by Mashreq.

The event will be attended by various ministries and organisations such as MOCCAE, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI), Mashreq, Mastercard, Engie, Green Optima, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Al Safwa Cement Company, SunMoney Solar Group, South Pole Wait

The summit will host dignitaries including MOCCAE Minister Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Yousif Ahmed Al Ali of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Shaima AlAydarous of the Ministry of Economy, Naseebah Almarzooqi of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Stephen Christian Severance JR of Masdar, Daxita Rajcoomar of Engie, Fatima Ahmed Al Kadhim of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Mariam AlQubaisi of Etihad Airways Group, Ahmed Samir Elbermbali of Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC), Adnan Merhaba of Arthur Little, 2020 Dina Storey and others at Expo Dubai.
