UAE artist community pays tribute to first-line heroes in “fashion show”-News

[ad_1]

Doctors, nurses, and support staff at Thumbay University Hospital walked up the ramp during the tribute event.

When the “models” took elan down the ramp, they were already confident enough. Both the camera and the mobile phone are running at high speed because they both click and click.

Then came loud cheers.

A typical fashion show? Do not!

This is a show like no other-a big difference.

The “models” strutting on the ramp are our white angels, standing in the sun wearing white coats designed by the designer.

This “fashion show” was held at a university-Gulf Medical University in Ajman-to be precise.

Gulf Medical University organized a fashion show in collaboration with DCOM Design, Root Square and PaintBrush art communities, where healthcare professionals replaced their stethoscopes with designer white coats and used them as models for walking art events. The show is considered to be a tribute to the UAE frontline heroes who helped the UAE fight the pandemic by the artist community.

Hossam Hamdy, President of Gulf Medical University, and Dr. Bu Abdullah, Chairman of Bu Abdullah Group, were the main guests. Uttam Chand, Consul (Visa and Community Affairs) of the Consulate General of India, is the guest of honor.

Hamdi said: “This is a historic event. It is a tribute to the world’s healthcare heroes by the UAE, Gulf Medical University and the team. We are very proud to host it.

“Today our superheroes don’t wear capes, they wear white coats,” he added.

Gulf Medical University alumnus, Dr. Ramita Bhargava, together with Dr. Afrah, Dr. Kajal, and Dr. Sandra, staged the opening ceremony in the show. She said: “I am honored to be able to conceive and manage this event to be a frontline force during the pandemic.”

Doctors, nurses and support staff of Thumbay University Hospital were on the ramp. The 27 white coats worn by the “models” were hand-painted, embroidered and sketched by many Dubai artists.

Students from Gulf Medical University also participated in the fashion show. Pakistani student Mohammed Omar said: “It’s an honor to participate in the show. During the pandemic, the medical community spared no effort to fight the disease. This shows that people in white coats are superheroes,” he added.
