From a unique event for children at the iconic Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi, to a series of art workshops at the Al Qattara Arts Centre in Al Ain, this August, people of all ages will be able to visit major cultural venues Learn and enjoy something.

Abu Dhabi Children’s Library and Artisan House will be hosting Al Hosn Summer Camp at the historic and cultural landmark Qasr Al Hosn until 11 August. Using traditional and modern techniques, children can learn new skills and create arts and crafts such as kirigami, origami and glass painting. The first week is for children 7 to 10 years old, and the second week is for children 11 to 15 years old.
On Thursday (August 4th), activities include weaving, papel picado (Mexican folk art), visits, workshops at the Artisan House, while the Children’s Library will host astro dolls and mandoos making. In addition, the Cultural Foundation is hosting multiple exhibitions including “Light in the Middle,” “General Behavior,” “Another Perspective,” a new summer pop-up cafe Cakes and Sprinkles, and attractions such as the “Experience Mars” interactive learning area . Arts and Heritage Destinations will host summer camps through August 18th. Fun Educational Camp offers four different tracks: Space, Nature, Archaeology, Drama and Performance. It is designed to give children new skills and experiences. Additionally, individuals can spark their imaginations through several art workshops, exploring everything from oil painting and calligraphy to mosaics.
There are Bait Al Oud lessons on oud, sight-singing, violin and qanun (stringed instruments). Mosaic masterpieces, oil painting, calligraphy, drawing and painting classes will be conducted by different trainers. Art workshops run until the end of the month. Mina Zayed’s Art and Design Centre is hosting several activities for the kids until this weekend. There are two sets of “Summer Club” activities for children aged 6-10 and 11-14. They can participate in a number of educational and recreational programs and group activities until August 7th. Also, there are two ongoing exhibitions: Jill Magi: The Weft in Pencil and “In Process, In Progress.” The center has emerging talent from the UAE, the Middle East and South Asia.
