ABU DHABI, 8th August, 2022 (WAM) — The Department of Health (DoH) of Abu Dhabi has become an institutional member of the International Society for Healthcare Quality (ISQua), an association dedicated to promoting healthcare quality improvement through international organizations for global cooperation.
As a result of membership, DoH will join forces with ISQua to strengthen the international healthcare landscape by providing safe and high-quality healthcare to the global community. As a result of membership, DoH will further position the emirate of Abu Dhabi as a global leader in healthcare quality, support the improvement of patient safety in the UAE and the region, and strengthen the emirate’s healthcare quality index ‘Muashir’ by collaborating with international organisations .
DoH will also showcase Abu Dhabi’s Healthcare Quality Initiative to attract more regional professionals and experts to share their knowledge and expertise on the latest trends in healthcare quality.
As an ISQua member, DoH will host conferences, exhibitions and seminars locally, regionally and internationally to promote best practice in high quality and safe healthcare delivery and to raise awareness of the importance of safe healthcare and social care. It will expand cross-collaboration across the global healthcare sector to ensure the best possible healthcare for all patients in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
By becoming an ISQua member, DoH will have access to all ISQua’s online resources and free access to the International Journal of Quality in Healthcare (IJQHC).
