The ERC immediately began implementing the first phase of the relief program to ensure that basic needs such as food and shelter are met for thousands of families.

The first phase focused on delivering aid to the areas most affected by flooding, such as Ras Bella and Jalmaghsi.

Later, authorities will send rescue convoys to other parts of the province to help local residents cope with the current situation and overcome the challenges they face in obtaining food and shelter.
