Michelle Blanche has been charged with domestic violence against estranged husband Patrick Carney less than a day after announcing they were splitting after three years of marriage.
Page Six confirmed that police were called to the “Everywhere” singer’s home in Nashville at 2 a.m. local time on Thursday (08/11/22) because of a possible domestic disturbance.
Court documents show she was arrested “without incident” after admitting to “hitting the black key drummer once or twice in the facial area”.
TMZ holds a photo of the singer.
Carney did not have any apparent facial injuries, according to the complaint.
The 39-year-old branch was released Thursday after posting $1,000 bail, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office told Page 6.
She was initially ordered to be held for 12 hours, but she was released earlier “due to breastfeeding the baby,” the documents show.
Blanche is scheduled to have a hearing on Nov. 7 to face charges of domestic assault for aggressive/provocative conduct.
Page Six said a representative for the singer did not immediately respond to its request for comment.
The arrest comes after she said on Wednesday she wanted privacy and goodwill to handle the breakup because it felt as though “the rug had been completely pulled from her life” and she was trying to figure out how to move
with her little ones.
She told TMZ: “To say I’m utterly devastated doesn’t even describe how I feel about myself and my family.
“The rug has been pulled completely from me and now I have to figure out how to move on. With such a young child, I demand privacy and kindness.”
Michelle shares four-year-old son Reese James with Carney and daughter Willie, who was born earlier this year.
They first met at a Grammy party in 2015, when Michelle was finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Teddy Landau, with whom she has a 17-year-old daughter, Owen Isabel, for two years. after them
engaged.
While planning their wedding, the singer discovered she was expecting their first child, Rhys James, who was born in April 2018.
“Patrick and I are in love with our son Reece James Carney,” the “Everywhere” singer said at the time.
A year after Reese was born, the couple married at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans.
As they tried to expand their family, the singer revealed in December 2020 that she had a miscarriage.
She announced on social media: “I had my first miscarriage…but, alas, between the Christmas cookie cries and binge eating, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress.
“We drank champagne all day. Made an incredible meal and sang Christmas songs over a roaring fire.”
A few months later, in August 2021, the couple became pregnant again and gave birth to their second child, Willie Jacquet Carney.
