Anne Heche prayed to be remembered for making the lives of her sons happy.
The actress shared her dream of leaving a legacy in a 2017 interview.
Access Hollywood asked her at the premiere of her ‘The Last Word’ movie: “Since the movie is called ‘The Last Word’, and given its content, you want people to have an opinion about your last word. What do you think?'”
Anne, who died on Friday (12.08.22) at the age of 53, responded: “Oh… oh Lord… oh Lord…” before making a prayer gesture.
She added: “Hopefully I am making my kids happy…giving them a life they love.”
“Last Words” tells the story of a businesswoman played by Shirley MacLean as she tries to control her final days as she dies of a medical condition.
The actress shares son Homer Laffoon, 20, with ex-husband Coleman ‘Coley’ Laffoon, whom she was married from 2001 to 2009.
Heche also shares son Atlas Heche Tapper, 13, with her “Tree Man” co-star James Tapper, 57.
After the horrific car crash on 8/5/22, Herce’s representative said Thursday (11/08/22) that she “is not expected to survive”.
As a result of the shipwreck, she “suffered severe hypoxic brain damage” and was “in a coma” at the Grossman Burn Center at West Mountain Hospital and Medical Center in California.
In addition to the severe burns, a spokesman for Heche said the accident left the “Donnie Blasco” actress “with severe lung injuries requiring mechanical ventilation.”
TMZ reported Thursday that after obtaining a blood test order, the Los Angeles Police Department determined that Heche was under the influence of cocaine at the time of the crash.
Law enforcement sources, Herce, also tested positive for fentanyl, the outlet said.
But it was pointed out that the drug could have been used in hospitals to manage pain from accidents.
After Heche was hospitalized, her rep thanked fans for “their kind wishes and prayers” and “dedicated staff and wonderful nurses” for caring for the actress.
