ATLANTA, GA (Atlanta News 10) — If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you might want to check out the BeREGGAE Music and Arts Festival. Valencia Jones of Atlanta Now shares why it brings recreation and healing to the community.
BeREGGAE Fest, the largest festival of its kind in the Southeast, is back for nine years in a row, bringing entertainment, music, food, and vendors to Piedmont Park, attracting people from near and far.

“It was a wonderful event. Everyone should come out and take a walk and see all the vendors,” said Tracey Proby, who came from Chicago with her family.
There are many celebrities, such as Jamaican music artist Chi Ching Ching of Sean Paul Records. “My vibe has always been active, so I get people to dance and have fun,” he said. Wayne Wonder, CeeLo Green and Tito Puente Jr. are on Sunday.
This year’s theme is related to the healing of Black, Indigenous and people of color. “We have a self-healing sanctuary organized by the Reproductive Justice Resilience Project,” said Olimatta Taal, the festival’s publicist. The sanctuary includes herbalists, massage therapists and purveyors like Julia Perfume, sharing natural skincare products.

Julia owner Ashley Julia Boyd’s Esscents said: “It all started with our deodorants because of the simple fact that you get breakouts, lumps, lumps and over time, naturally Deodorant can help eliminate this.”
There is a lot of food to choose from and the chance to do some exercise to try and get all of them. “Every food you can think of, from Southern cuisine to African-American cuisine, comes from the rest of the United States, including every Caribbean country you can think of,” Tal said.
Organisers say supporting the community makes it all worth it.
“This is actually a fundraiser for the Handover Riot Foundation, and all types of organizations will benefit, including my Connie Tucker Legacy,” Tull said.
