As Pakistan prepares to celebrate its 75th Independence Day, the government has awarded one of the highest medals of honour (Sitar-e-Imtiaz) to long-time resident of the UAE and Pakistani celebrity Fakhr Alam.
He was awarded the medal for his outstanding achievement in 2018 as the first and only Pakistani to successfully circumnavigate the globe in 23 days in a single-engine aircraft.
Alam is revered by his peers as well as Pakistanis at home and abroad for his dynamic personality spanning entertainment, business, charity and adventure.
He has also been a voice for Pakistanis abroad and has been building bridges of mutual respect, appreciation and cooperation among the people of Pakistan, the UAE and other countries.
For more than two decades, Alam has also been recognized for his work in the entertainment industry, especially his recent projects.One of them is called 60 hours of glory, Known as Pakistan’s largest television production. It showcases one of the most difficult military games in the world.His most recent cricket show was titled Pavilion Also super popular.
In 2006, he received the Sitar-e-Eesaar (Presidential Sacrifice and Medal of Honor) for his charitable and volunteer service in the aftermath of the devastating 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.​​​ He led one of the largest volunteer movements in the world.
He is also the first Pakistani celebrity to be awarded the coveted UAE Golden Visa and is known as the Ambassador of Pakistan, advocating for business and investment in the country while promoting the country.
The entrepreneur recently launched Galaxy Racer Pakistan, Pakistan’s largest esports and lifestyle technology company, in partnership with Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum.
The Sitar-e-Imtiaz Medal adds to Alam’s illustrious career.
