Ideal Standard Belgium, a leading manufacturer of bathroom products and solutions, has been recognised by the coveted International Red Dot Product Design Award 2022.
The company has won four awards in three collections for Ideal Standard’s design-led Atelier Collections and the new Ceraplan iX mixer. Each year, the award recognizes products that are aesthetically appealing, functional, smart and innovative – all with great design.
The first of these products, the Joy Neo, is Ideal Standard’s latest addition to the Atelier Collections – a classic yet modern collection of faucets. The neoclassical aesthetic of the products perfectly blends luxury and modesty, while the simple geometric shapes and symmetrical designs of these pieces convey a luxurious, understated elegance. Available in two different finishes, multiple models and two handle styles, Joy Neo encourages creative expression.
Linda-X Series
Next up for the judges’ recognition was the Linda-X collection – a timeless and elegant collection of basins, utensils and bathtubs celebrating the iconic Linda collection first launched in 1977. The refined curves of the Linda-X collection are reflected in Diamatec, an innovative material that pushes the boundaries of ceramics to provide thin yet strong and durable components. The result is a collection that perfectly meets the needs of contemporary living.
Atelier Collections’ striking Tipo-Z Basin is the third winning product. Carefully sculpted into a single, flowing fine ceramic, this unique washbasin has an overall contour and a smooth, flowing surface, making it an elegant standout feature in any bathroom.
All three collections were designed in collaboration with renowned Italian design studio Palomba Serafini Associati.
Ceraplan iX
Ideal Standard’s innovative mixing basin mixer Ceraplan iX was also awarded – giving the brand its four most successful Red Dot awards to date. The faucet’s advanced technology combines the flexibility and control of a single lever basin faucet with the hygienic and water-saving benefits of a touchless faucet. Designed for the introduction of contactless technology to the residential and hospitality industry, the Ceraplan iX range offers the perfect balance of innovative technology and stylish design to meet the demands of modern living. The new collection was presented exclusively at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan and will launch later in 2022.
