The Federal Identity and Citizenship Administration (ICA) has launched a series of golden residence services to facilitate the issuance of golden visas to doctors living in the UAE.
This is in line with the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
These services will facilitate the issuance of 10-year residence visas to doctors and their families, in line with the UAE government’s vision to increase its global competitiveness as a preferred destination for work, life and study and an incubator of talent and academic excellence.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Acting Director-General of ICA, stated that providing golden residency to all doctors and their families in the UAE is an expression of good citizenship and appreciation for the efforts of the UAE’s “first line of defense”. He has effectively promoted the country’s containment. The Covid-19 pandemic and efforts to ensure public safety.
He added that the initiative also reflects the forward-looking vision of the UAE leadership to attract highly skilled medical professionals and create an environment conducive to creativity and innovation in accordance with the UAE’s pioneering plan.
Al Khaili emphasized that ICA is working with partners of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and other relevant authorities to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s decision by simplifying the procedures for registered doctors to obtain golden visas.
He further explained that this initiative will help attract experienced medical professionals from all over the world, which will help strengthen the UAE’s healthcare ecosystem.
It will also enhance ICA’s global competitiveness in providing innovative services, in line with the UAE’s goal of becoming a world leader in terms of stability and quality of life.
Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Deputy Secretary-General of MoHAP and Chairman of the United Arab Emirates Health Service (EHSE), reiterated that the UAE government invites resident doctors to apply for golden visas, which will improve the sustainability of the UAE’s human resources and capabilities.
He explained that this investment in the future shows that the UAE leadership is keen to ensure and strengthen the excellence of its healthcare ecosystem.
Dr. Al Olama also stated that this gesture will help to strengthen medical services, combined with the UAE’s advanced medical institutions, will help promote medical tourism and the UAE’s health sector and its global competitiveness, in line with the UAE’s goal of 2071 Centenary anniversary, the UAE will be the best country in the world by 2071.
