Alison Brie and Dave Franco ‘trying to connect every day’
The 39-year-old actress and Dave, 37, have been married for five years, and Alison believes good communication has always been one of the keys to their romance.
When asked about the secret to a happy marriage, she replied: “Communication. It’s all about good communication.”
Alison and Dave are determined to work as partners and always try to stay in touch even when they can’t be together.
The actress told “Entertainment Tonight”: “I think that’s why we work so hard together, honestly, so that we can spend more time together. So we don’t have to be apart that much.
“But even when we’re apart, it’s important that we try to connect every day.”
Alison is starring in the new romantic drama “Someone I Used to Know” directed by her husband.
The Hollywood star has enjoyed working with Dave.
She said: “The best part for me was experiencing all the other guys on set and realizing how incredible he was. I already knew that, [but] It’s really interesting to see all the new eyes draw him in. As a director, he is extraordinary. “
Alison previously admitted that she was closer to Dave than ever after the COVID-19 lockdown.
The movie star believes the experience has been beneficial to their relationship.
Talking about their lockdown experience, she shared: “I think it’s all really up and down because we don’t know how long it’s going to last.
“Dave and I spent the first few months in party mode thinking we were on vacation – let’s have a drink, let’s make a lot of pasta. Then we like it and it’ll last longer, so let’s Enter cooking experiment mode and we’re trying to make new dishes and things like that.
“Then we went into health mode, and then we also went into creative mode, and we wrote a lot together… So, I mean, I think we’re closer than ever.”
