Ministry of Health launches Perinatal Plus computer system

The province’s Ministry of Health on Friday launched the Perinatal Computer System, a clinical registry for women’s pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care developed by the Pan American Health Organization, surpassing the one currently used and will be implemented in four Hospitals conduct pilot trials. To kick-start the implementation of SIP Plus, a working session was organized by various health influencers from the OB and Child Care Boards 1 and 2.

Dr. Monty mentioned the benefits of implementing a perinatal computer system. “With SIP Plus, patients are identified on the first day of pregnancy and tracked to the end of the pregnancy. Currently, clinical history is uploaded via a perinatal card, in this new system we will be able to upload data in real time, And available to all influencers. Data is also added, such as the diseases the patient may have had in the past, as well as his/her comprehensive treatment and the diseases of his/her children,” she explained.

For her part, Carolina Pecora commented on the impact of SIP Plus. “Starting from this meeting, pilot trials will begin in the district hospitals, CIS Banda, Cis Termas, Honal Zonal de Frias hospitals, and UPAS Maternity Hospitals in the Reconquista community of the capital and the El Cruz community of La Band.
