[ad_1]

Abhijeet Gupta implodes against Aditya Samant

IM Aditya S Samant is a strong player and there is no doubt that he is the future guru of India. After a draw with Nihal Sarin in the second round, he took on GM Abhijeet Gupta. The five-time Commonwealth champion made a simple miscalculation and resigned in just 22 moves. MPL 31st National Under-18 Open Champion, CM Soham Kamotra Bengal No. 1 goalkeeper Ziyar Rahman made a late error and he endured a very difficult situation before taking his chance.

Round 2: Hovhannisyan – Sammed: 0-1

IM Sammed Jaykumar Shete (2381) used his king in the endgame for a nice win over GM Robert Hovhannisyan (ARM, 2599).

location after 39…Section 3

Black takes his king from g7 all the way to e3. It definitely paid off in the end. In any case, trying to win for Blake is certainly not an easy task. However, the King’s promotion played a key role in getting a perfect score against Armenia’s No. 10.

Rucha-Duhyant: 1-0

IM Dushyant Sharma (2406) made a serious mistake early in the middle game against WIM Rucha Pujari (2229).

Blake hyperextends his pawn 15…g4 16.Nd2 Nxg3 17.fxg3 Bxd3 18.Qxd3 Qd6 19.e4 Kd7 We reached the above location. 20.0-0 Rbf8 21.exd5 Qxd5 22.Rf5 Qd6 24.Ne4 Qg6 25.Rf6 Qg8 26.Nc5+ With the imminent threat of checkmate, Black took three more steps.

White’s position is already dwindling. 27. Rxc4 didn’t help his case bxc4 28.Be7 Rxe7 29.Qxe7 c3 Black has now completely won.

Round 3: Arjun Erigaisi – Indjic: 1-0

GM Arjun Erigaisi (2689) scored a fantastic victory over Serbia’s No. 1 GM Aleksandar Indjic (2613).

location after 31.Bxc5

For obvious reasons, both white and black have color weaknesses. However, Black is in serious trouble because his king is more vulnerable than White’s. With the exception of the h3-pawn, both sides’ pawns are the same color as their bishop, and their color weakness is the opposite. Arjun had no trouble turning his decisive advantage into a perfect score.

Abhijeet – Adiya Samant

location after 19.Be3

GM Abhijeet Gupta has a brief blind spot while playing 19.Be3 after black took his knight 18…Bxg3. He certainly wants d5 to regain his piece after the g3 bishop retreats. However, this doesn’t work because Aditya finds the middle action 19…Bc4 20.Qd2 Bb8 There is now no way for White to recover the pawn because d5 is no longer a fork/double attack. White resigns after two more moves.

Eric Giovava

location after 24. Bxf7

Black wins outright here. Can you find the winning combinations that Jobava performed in the game? It was a perfect rebound after losing the last round to Indonesia’s No. 1 woman, IM Irine Kharisma Sukandar (2373). This position will definitely make its way into the clearing chapter in future chess books.

Tamme-Wochdorf: 0.5-0.5

The new Olympic gold medalist, GM Shamisiddin Vokhidov (UZB, 2552), survived the match against FM Tanmay Chopra (2337).

location after 32…inside 5

black terribly wrong 32…inside 5. This is a classic example of overprotection going awry. This position is already doomed. 32…inside 5 Just hastened the demise of Black’s position. 33.Rxf5 gxf5 34.Qh7+ Kf8 Now 35.Ne6+ is done.Instead, he chose 35.Qxf5. Black soon made another big mistake, giving White another chance to win, but he couldn’t find it and made a draw by repeating.
