The UAE has recently experienced an extension of air low pressure in the eastern and southern regions, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensities.
Authorities earlier launched a safety campaign to inform motorists how to stay safe in bad weather conditions.
Some steps that can be followed are:
- Check the condition of your windshield wipers and tires before you go
- Use headlights even during the day to improve visibility and alert drivers ahead
- Increase the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front
- Follow speed and direction signs on the road
- Do not drive through flooded areas
- Avoid distractions while driving, such as using your phone or taking pictures/videos
