Gary Busey He was charged Friday with a sex offense for an appearance at a horror fan convention in New Jersey earlier this month.
The 78-year-old actor, who lives in Malibu, California, was charged by police in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact and one count of harassment. Officials have not released details of the alleged crimes, which are said to have occurred at the Monster Mania fan convention at the Double Tree Hotel in Cherry Hills over the weekend of Aug. 12-14.
Following the news, Monster Mania organizers issued a statement saying: “Following complaints from attendees, celebrity guests were immediately removed from the convention and instructed not to return.”
Busey was nominated for an Oscar for his starring role in 1978 Buddy Hawley’s storyalso appeared in movies, including lethal weapon, breakpoint, The company and others.He is also the father of actors Jack Busey.
