Emirates airline Etihad Airways will increase flights to New York this winter, giving travelers more choice.
The airline will add four weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi-New York route from 15 November, offering 11 non-stop weekly services to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The new flights will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Meanwhile, the airline’s Airbus A350 aircraft, which have been deployed on the New York route since June, will continue existing daily service.
Travellers will benefit from a global network of 70 destinations between Etihad and Etihad’s codeshare partners, particularly in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and South East Asia, as well as connections outside New York to and from 46 destinations in the Americas. JetBlue Airways said in a statement.
Alex Featherstone, Vice President, Network Planning and Alliances, said: “Etihad Airways is strengthening its schedule this winter to offer more choice to guests in key business and leisure destinations across our global network. Our New York route continues to be strong With passenger demand already at record levels this summer, Etihad is delighted to further invest in this market by increasing frequency levels ahead of the peak winter travel period.”
Etihad passengers travelling to the US will be able to take advantage of the airline’s US pre-clearance facility, allowing passengers travelling to the US to process all immigration, customs and agricultural checks in Abu Dhabi prior to boarding and avoid queues on arrival and arrival statement added Say, in America.
Etihad Airways will offer a total of 25 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and the United States this winter, with increased flights to New York JFK and daily flights to Chicago and Washington.

Etihad reported a core operating profit of $296 million for the first half of 2022. The airline carried 4.02 million passengers in the first half of 2022, up more than 3 million from last year, with an average load factor of 75%.
