The bridge will provide three lanes for vehicles from Dubai. There will also be a traffic light under the bridge at the intersection of Al Ittihad Street and Kuwait Street.
Another bridge will be built for motorists coming from Al Hassan Bin Al Haitham Street and heading outside the emirate, from Ajman Industrial Area to Sharjah.
He added that the execution of the project is in line with the strategic goals of developing integrated infrastructure and strengthening interconnectedness between residential communities.
Alternative routes and diversions
Al Nuaimi explained that Al Ittihad Street provides another diversion, which helps traffic flow and avoids congestion and congestion around the clock.
He called on residents and tourists in the emirate to follow directional signs and use diversions.
“The diversion includes five lanes from the Emirate of Sharjah to the Sheikh Khalifa Junction, and two lanes to the Al Nuaemia area,” he added.
Al Nuaimi said the project is the second initiative of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ajman, to develop the emirate’s infrastructure. He added that the wise leadership focuses on this lively street, which flows around the clock and serves as a link with other emirates.
