Leaders of UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq come together The summit on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast is being hailed as an opportunity to strengthen inter-Arab partnership.

Last month, Bahrain joined Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development Previously included Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. The agreement increases the industrial manufacturing value added of the informal alliance to more than $112.5 billion.

The UAE has provided Egypt with billions of dollars in central bank deposits and investments to help mitigate the impact of its ambitious reform program, as well as the impact of the recent war in Ukraine.

New Alamein, where leaders meet, is one of more than a dozen cities built since Mr. Elsesi took office eight years ago.New Alamein is located west of Alexandria and features its waterfront skyscrapers.
