ABU DHABI, 23rd August, 2022 (WAM) — Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Deputy Minister of Community Development (DCD), has assessed the “SAAED Association for Traffic Accident Prevention” and the “Make-A-Wish Foundation” to be licensed by the DCD.
Al Dhaheri visited the SAAED Association with a delegation of DCD personnel, including representatives from the Licensing and Social Control Sector Teams, as well as the Community Engagement and Sports Sector Teams. Jamal Al Amiri, Executive Director of Saaed Association, and the Board of Directors received the delegation.
Al Dhaheri reviewed the various services provided by the association and its involvement in community service, as well as the many initiatives and projects undertaken by the association to increase traffic awareness and reduce accidents and traffic violations. He also assessed the role Abu Dhabi volunteers played in carrying out these tasks.
The delegation also visited the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which provides support and assistance to critically ill children aged 3 to 18. In this visit, Make-A-Wish Foundation CEO Hani Arzubaidi highlighted the foundation’s involvement in spreading joy and happiness to children by fulfilling their dreams and aspirations. Since its establishment in the UAE, the foundation has fulfilled more than 5,200 wishes for children of all ethnic groups.
Al Dhaheri assessed the programmes and initiatives offered by the foundation and the role of volunteers in carrying out these initiatives and donations, acknowledging the importance of these social organisations in providing help and support to the community.
He also commended the significant contributions made by civil society and non-profit organisations through quality services, and stressed that the Department firmly believes in the importance of the tertiary industry’s vision and expertise in serving society, all of which have enhanced their service standards. to meet the highest standards.
Al Dhaheri also commended the efforts and cooperation of the tertiary industry partners, which is in line with the strategy to make Abu Dhabi a global capital at the forefront of the latest developments by providing quality services to society and achieving goals and ambitions to improve Abu Dhabi’s social sector.
