GCC ICT companies gather at Gitex Global

ICT companies from GCC are participating for the first time at the GCC Pavilion at Gitex 2022, the largest technology exhibition and conference in the Middle East. The event is scheduled for October 10-14 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE.

The GCC Pavilion aims to bring together the largest ICT companies from different fields under one roof. The aim is to pave the way for cooperation between them, implement joint ventures, and increase their share of the ICT market in the GCC countries, which is reported to be $33 billion in Saudi Arabia, $20 billion in the UAE, and almost the rest of the Gulf. the sum of the countries.

The pavilion also aims to showcase the potential and capabilities of GCC IT to the global market. In particular, Gitex has witnessed the participation of major national pavilions such as the US, Germany, India, Japan, etc. The merger or integration between GCC companies enhances their competitiveness and ability to meet the needs of local, Gulf and international markets.

Unlimited achievements

The GCC pavilion is expected to reflect the boundless achievements of the GCC countries in digital transformation and building a knowledge economy, as well as the extent to which they have contributed to increasing levels of productivity and competitiveness and developing new mechanisms for accessing government electronic services.

The pavilion also provides a platform for officials and policy makers from the public and private sectors of the Arab Gulf countries to meet and discuss efforts to strengthen digital integration between these countries, with a focus on cybersecurity, software industry, automation, digital transformation and other areas of common interest.

Gitex Global’s GCC Pavilion is organized by WorkSmart for Events Management, a company headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain with branches and representatives in several Gulf countries.

GCC ICT strength

WorkSmart Senior Events Manager Muktar Mirza said the move to organize a unified pavilion for technology companies at Gitex aims to strengthen the Gulf region’s integration efforts in the technology and knowledge economy sectors, and to show what areas GCC ICT companies have to offer here, in addition to supporting these companies Efforts to expand, develop and increase market share.

Mirza added that WorkSmart has been facilitating the seamless participation of Bahraini ICT companies in a national pavilion at Gitex for the past 15 years, with increasing success year after year, adding: “We confirm that we All the experience we have accumulated over the past few years will be leveraged to ensure that Gulf ICT’s business achieves its intended goals through participation in Gitex, which has had a positive impact on development and expansion plans.”

Mirza emphasized that by participating in a GCC pavilion together, the company will gain more attention from visitors and enjoy an advantage over its competitors, as the national pavilion provides exhibitors with a place to develop without investing a lot of time and money.
