Gina Rodriguez says pregnancy made her feel like a ‘superwoman’.
The former “Jane the Virgin” star is “very excited and overwhelmed” as she expects her first child with husband Joe LoCicero, 36.
The 38-year-old actress told PEOPLE: “I’m so excited and overwhelmed, I feel like a superwoman. I feel like every day is weird and different and I’m so grateful to everyone who brings a baby To this planet. Whenever I see someone with a baby, I say, ‘Congratulations, you’re a superhero.'”
Gina trusts her body and those she loves to “protect” her during this changing new time in her life.
“I believe in my body and I believe I have incredible people around me to protect me, help me and support me,” she said. “I have incredible women who have taught me so much — so many mothers that I’ve learned from.”
The ‘Lost Ollie’ star believes her life achievements in Hollywood are ‘really amazing’.
Gina said: “I feel so lucky, so lucky, that my dreams came true since I was a kid. It’s such a great feeling, there’s nothing like it.”
“It beats all red carpets. It beats anything you can do. I love my husband and I love our wedding, but it beats weddings. It beats absolutely!”
She also said that because of their innocence, she had “the best time” to chat with all the children in the family.
