Many new teachers are recruited from abroad, mainly from the UK, US and India. Newly joined are five new principals who will run schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah. Newly recruited teachers cover all grades from kindergarten to post-16, covering UK, IB, US and Indian curricula.

GEMS Awareness Day completes a week of school engagement activities and cultural awareness training.
Jade Collinson, a Foundations teacher who relocated from the UK to join GEMS Wellington College – Al Khail (WEK), said: “My career at GEMS has had a great start. From my successful interview in October to my arrival in Dubai last week Excellent. Nothing too much hassle for the team at WEK and I feel very comfortable throughout the transition. The school has very similar values and beliefs about children’s education and I’m excited to delve deeper into this , and continue my professional development in such a supportive environment.”
