80 years old: Jim Curry hit a milestone on Sunday, Aug. 28, when he turns 80. As this birthday celebrant leaves the 70s to try this new number, may he find more happiness, love, good health, fond memories and continued blessings.

Goodbye: Farewell to two prominent community leaders – Drs. Morris and Diane Muffson – They are moving to Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Mufson, known as “Maury”, is the Founding Chair of the Department of Medicine at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University and has been Professor Emeritus and Chair Emeritus since 2002. He has authored 220 original articles and book chapters in the scientific literature, won an infectious disease/research award, was a visiting scientist at the Department of Virology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, and participated in other events. Diane, better known as “Deedee”, is a psychologist specializing in general psychology, a frequent columnist at The Herald-Dispatch, and a member of various clubs, to name a few. Many of their talents will be missed, but best wishes to this medical duo in their new endeavors and fields.
