Abu Dhabi Airports signs agreement to improve service quality

Abu Dhabi Airports, the operator and manager of five airports in the UAE, has signed an agreement with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) to improve service quality and enhance passenger experience.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the agreement stems from Abu Dhabi Airports and ICP’s keenness to adopt best practices in security, safety and air transport WAM.

The partnership aims to achieve the highest level of service excellence across all Abu Dhabi Airports terminals and facilities.

The service agreement was witnessed by Major General Saeed Salem Balhas Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, in the presence of Brigadier General Mohamed Ahmed bin Signed under Abbad Al Hameli, Director of the Department of Air and Sea Ports.

Major General Saeed Al Shamsi said the agreement is a testament to the long-term joint efforts and cooperation with Abu Dhabi Airports and various entities related to the authority services provided through the Ministry of Aviation and Sea Ports.

He stressed that the authorities are leading a mission to strengthen travel procedures for passport control and passenger transit procedures in accordance with the highest standards of service quality, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and systems for validating travel documents and entry permits. Departures and arrivals, especially through smart doors and electronic service stations.

He added that the signing of the agreement reflects both parties’ shared interest in advancing the working mechanism, highlighting potential areas of cooperation and strengthening commitments through a unified vision that instills a culture of service excellence.

Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi said: “Our agreement with the Federal Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security Authority reflects ongoing collaboration with strategic partners to enhance the business ecosystem and improve the passenger experience at Abu Dhabi Airport.
