Harlow is doing double duty, joining LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj as the host of the show.
Minaj will perform hits from her entire career and accept the show’s Video Pioneer Award, which MTV says she has won for her artistry, groundbreaking hip-hop and global superstar status. The honor is named after Michael Jackson.

Madonna is the most awarded entertainer in MTV history with 20 victories, becoming the only entertainer to be nominated at a five-year VMAs. She received her 69th nomination for her 14th studio album, Madame X.
Lamar returned to the VMAs as a nominee for the first time since 2018, picking up nominations for best hip-hop, directing, visual effects, editing and a category called permanent video, while his songs “family ties” and “N95 “There’s a competition for the best photography.
