ABBA has expanded their show in London.
ABBA Voyage – the pop band’s state-of-the-art concert – is currently booked until May next year, and due to huge demand from fans, the show has now been extended to Spring 2026.
A source told The Sun’s Strange column: “Everyone knows ABBA has a very loyal fan base, but the show is always a bit of a gamble.
“No one really knows how ABBA-tars will be accepted, as similar hologram-style concerts have been mixed. But for ABBA, the response has been phenomenal. Even those most skeptical of the technology It left a deep impression.
“The plan is to refresh the show with new songs that the group has already shot.”
The 90-minute show opened in May and took place on a purpose-built stage in east London. The possibility of bringing the show to Las Vegas for a residency is currently under discussion, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Meanwhile, ABBA’s Benny Andersson previously revealed he was concerned that his bandmates may have lost their singing skills before returning.
The pop group – which also includes Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – reunited for their long-awaited ninth studio album “Voyage” – but Benny admitted to having some doubts before they started recording.
Benny shared: “I think I think Agnetha and Frida are very happy about doing this. That’s understandable in a way, isn’t it?
“I mean, they haven’t done much in the last 40 years: they’ve done a few albums each, but they haven’t really sung a lot of songs, so it’s… Seeing them happy with what we’re doing, they love the tunes. That’s perfect.”
