In a video, drivers of light and heavy vehicles can be seen struggling with low visibility in the downpour.
According to the National Meteorological Center (NCM), some areas of the UAE are witnessing heavy rain, lightning and even hail.
The authorities released a series of videos on its social media, in which it can be seen that parts of the emirate experienced severe weather in heavy rain.

NCM recorded hail on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road in the direction of Maliha and heavy rain and hail on Al Khari in Ras Al Khaimah.

It stated that moderate to heavy rains also hit the village of Shawka in Ras Al Khaimah.
The video images released by the authorities also showed 3D radar images formed by clouds in the area.
