Kathmandu [Nepal]August 29 (ANI): A 31-member delegation of the Indian Army’s ‘Defence Course’ arrived in Nepal on Sunday.
According to a press release issued by the Nepal Army, the delegation included students who participated in the ‘Defence Course-62’ held at the Defence College in New Delhi.

The delegation, led by Air Force Deputy Marshal Tver Singh, is on a five-day visit to Nepal and will fly back to India on September 1.
The delegation will pay courtesy calls on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba of Nepal, Minister of Finance Janardan Sharma and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Kadkar.

They are scheduled to visit the military base on Monday and the central command in Pokhara on Tuesday.
The Indian Army team will also visit various tourist and religious sites in Kathmandu and Pokhara, including Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Lumbini.
The Nepalese military expressed the belief that such visits from neighboring friendly countries will help strengthen the military relations between the two countries, as well as promote the development of tourism in Nepal.
India continues to make progress in its multifaceted relationship with Nepal, including close cooperation between defence and security agencies.
The two countries enjoy close and friendly relations with a long history and culture, open borders and deep-rooted non-governmental exchanges.
Consistent with the “Neighborhood First” policy, in addition to focusing on infrastructure development and capacity building, the bilateral relationship with Nepal has maintained momentum towards greater connectivity, be it physical, economic, energy, digital or cultural.
India remains Nepal’s largest trading partner. India provides transit for almost the entire third country trade of Nepal.
In the past 10 years, India’s exports to Nepal have grown more than eightfold, while Nepal’s exports have almost doubled. (ANI)
