Pakistan floods: Pictures show devastation after monsoon rains | World News

Images show the devastation caused by widespread flooding in Pakistan, which killed more than 1,000 people and damaged nearly a million homes.

International aid arrived in the country on Monday, while efforts to evacuate thousands of people stranded by the “monster monsoon” continued.

Authorities said the damage this year was worse than in 2010, when floods killed 1,700 people.

Conditions have swept away villages, crops and 800,000 livestock – but there are Fears that floods may not have peaked yet.
